Declan Kavanagh – CEO

With a long career in business across a variety of industry sectors, Declan is committed to the core principles of Buzz – real value and solid customer service. Combine this with over 20 years experience in the financial and telecoms world and you can see how Declan brings real business leadership to Buzz Telecom.

He also has significant experience in managing large teams in communications and property and has combined a successful business career with his other great passion for rugby. Declan has played at club and senior interprovincial level.  In business, he believes that the customers pay the bills and the customer should remain the priority. Declan feels Buzz Telecom, with its excellent proposition and innovative approach for Irish Business will shake up the Irish Telecoms market and put the customer first, where they belong.

Kieran Mageean – CIO

A career long connection with the Telecoms sector, Kieran is an Electronic Engineer by profession and has nearly 25 years experience in telecoms. A graduate of the University of Ulster, he has combined a technical career path with the modern demands of business – sales and marketing.  Kieran has a track record in working for service oriented ICT providers and understands the role of customer satisfaction and how it directly affects the health of a company.

Like Buzz, Kieran is not afraid of change and changed career from specific technical roles, early on, to more business focussed ones over time.  His role at Buzz gives him the best of both worlds and having also spent time as a college lecturer, he knows learning and variety is the key to providing top quality products and services.  With extensive knowledge of data and voice technologies, Kieran is the technology brain behind Buzz.
